Duty Call? A Call of Duty: What Is It?

In a recent announcement, Activision stated that it is currently working on a brand-new intellectual property (IP) with the goal of “crafting a franchise with an enduring legacy that resonates far beyond games.” An internal studio known as Elsewhere Entertainment has been established by the firm in order to assist in the management of this enigmatic franchise when it is introduced to the world.

With the support of a more compact crew based in the United States, the team’s headquarters are located in Warsaw, which is also the location where CD Projekt Red creates games like The Witcher and Cyberpunk. Elsewhere is “dedicated to establishing an environment that inspires bold and diverse ideas,” and the company has stated that it has “full access to Activision’s resources and tools.” However, the company has not provided any additional information regarding the intellectual property itself.

It has been suggested by the developer that the final release will be a “next-gen” experience; however, the developer did not specify whether this referred to the next-generation consoles that are currently available or any future consoles that may be released in the coming years. Due to the fact that Activision has recruited individuals that worked on The Last of Us, the Uncharted franchise, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Witcher 3, it is quite likely that this game will contain a narrative-driven narrative. If you have a good résumé and a desire to work on a new intellectual property, here is a job posting that is likely connected to the position.

In a sector that is now experiencing a high rate of layoffs, the arrival of a new studio is a welcome development. As a matter of fact, the establishment of Elsewhere occurs a little more than a week after Microsoft, the parent business of Activision, shut down three Bethesda studios. Additionally, this is taking place a couple of months after Toys for Bob, another firm owned by Activision, established itself as an independent company. We will keep you updated if the corporation releases any concrete information regarding the franchise itself, regardless of the circumstances.
