It is now possible for mutuals to interact openly with Stories.
Commenting on Instagram Stories is currently being rolled out. Direct messages were the sole way to respond to the Stories that were only available for a limited time. It is now possible for users to interact with the posts made by their friends in a more obvious manner thanks to this new feature. According to a representative from Meta, “comments live only on your Story.” This means that the original poster will not see the remarks via a direct message.
There is the option to enable or disable story comments for each and every unique post. When comments are enabled, everyone who follows an account will be able to view them; however, only mutuals will be able to submit comments. Additionally, just like with the Story post type, the comments will be removed after twenty-four hours. A small profile image of the person who commented will appear at the bottom of the symbol that represents a person’s Story. This will let you know that there are comments related to the post before you tap on it to view it.
The option to respond to Stories with a direct message (DM) is still available to users, provided that their account is configured to accept direct messages. You can also choose to send a direct message (DM) in response to a comment on a Story by swiping left on the text message and tapping the DM icon. This option is available to you.
Users of Instagram have been given additional options to enhance the appearance of their Stories. The posts can be made using templates that can be customized, they can have an artificial intelligence-generated background, or they can include an increasing number of interactive stickers.
