The tool is accessible on Instagram, a sister website.
The Hidden Words tool is one of the security features that Meta is introducing to Threads. Similar to Instagram, you can now filter out words, phrases, and even emojis on the app, which recently had over 150 million users.
The feature will be enabled by default in threads, and it will filter out potentially offensive information as well as irrelevant or boring stuff. Next, you can add more terms that you wish removed from the list, including “weight loss,” “violence,” or a disparaging phrase. Go to “manage custom terms and phrases” and enter whatever you are tired of seeing on Threads to add your own alternatives.
Two further features that are being tested on the platform are quote controls and muting. With the first, you could choose to mute alerts for any interactions that occur with your postings. In this manner, you might avoid reading every response and yet receive notifications about new followers or tags. You may select who can quote your article and even remove your own quotes with quotation controls. When these two functionalities might be accessible to all Threads users has not yet been announced by Meta.
