At first, only Snapchat+ will be able to use the function.

Snapchat will finally allow its users to edit their chats, just like the majority of its competitors in the messaging app market. According to the company, a limited number of Snapchat+ subscribers will initially have access to the feature, which is scheduled to be released “soon.”

Those who use Snapchat will now have a five-minute window in which they can edit their chats, rephrase their messages, correct typos, and make other changes to their conversations. Messages that have been edited will have a label that indicates the text contained within the message has been altered. The company did not provide any information regarding when the feature might become accessible to a greater number of its users; however, it is common for the company to introduce highly desired features to its subscription service first. Snap made the announcement the previous week that the number of subscribers for Snapchat+, which costs $3.99 per month, had reached 9 million.

There are also a few features that are not exclusive to the app that are being added. These include updated emoji reactions for chats, the ability to use the My AI assistant to set reminders, and outfits for Bitmoji that are generated by artificial intelligence. In addition, Snap demonstrated a new artificial intelligence lens that can transform users’ selfies into photographs with a theme reminiscent of the 1990s (just make sure not to look too closely at the wireless headphones that appear in many of the pictures).
