Lately, Yelp, along with a great number of other organizations, has been releasing an increasing number of innovative artificial intelligence technologies. Among its most recent offerings is the brand-new Yelp Assistant, which, according to the corporation, may assist you in locating the most suitable contractors or service providers for your requirements. If you have a really specific job in mind that requires specialists in their field, the goal is to point you in the correct way without requiring you to do a search on your own. This sounds like it would be especially helpful if you have a job candidate in mind.

The information provided “alleviates the guesswork on the type of specialists you may need,” according to the company. You only need to inform Assistant about the nature of your project, and then you can either enter in your own responses or select from a list of options that can be accessed with a single click. Using the customer’s first question about wanting to have their bathtub replaced as an example, Yelp Assistant developed a personalized chat with one-click responses. This conversation was based on the customer’s initial inquiry. Yelp was able to generate a list of service providers who are competent of performing the task by suggesting several sorts of bathtubs, from which the consumer could then select the one that best suits their needs.

In addition to OpenAI’s capabilities, the company claims that its new Assistant is able to efficiently anticipate your needs and identify service providers on the website. This is made possible by the utilization of a large language model that has been trained on Yelp’s extensive dataset, which includes information about service providers’ businesses as well as the “Request a Quote” feature of the Yelp website. However, at the time, it is only accessible to iOS users through the Projects tab, and it will not be made available for Android until later in the summer.

Furthermore, the firm has introduced the Yelp Fusion AI API, which enables third-party partners to develop conversational artificial intelligence experiences for their own services. This is in addition to the Yelp assistant. Additionally, it announced a new set of capabilities for the Yelp Guest Manager, which are designed to assist restaurants in better managing server shifts, monitoring the status of tables in real time, and automating credit card holds for bookings.
