Calls can be screened for them by the helper.

An artificial intelligence assistant that uses the user’s own voice has been made available to Truecaller users through a partnership with Microsoft. Truecaller is a caller ID software that can automatically reject and record calls. It was in the year 2022 when the business first presented its artificial intelligence assistant, which is capable of answering and screening calls for its consumers. It currently provides a selection of voices for users to select from, but the personal voice feature of Microsoft’s Azure AI Speech allows customers the chance to create a digital assistant that is uniquely tailored to their own voice.

In order to give Truecaller permission to utilize their voice, individual users will be required to videotape themselves reading a sentence. In addition, they will be required to read a training script, which will be utilized by the technology in order to capture their speaking style. This will allow the technology to generate a convincing digital audio reproduction. The assistant will then screen the call and introduce itself as the “digital” version of the user when it receives a call from the user. With regard to the product demonstration that was performed by Raphael Mimoun, who is the Product Director and General Manager of Truecaller, for example, his assistant answered a call with the following: “Hi there! Greetings, my name is Raphael Mimoun! Can I inquire as to who is calling? The assistant will next inquire as to whether the call is an urgent matter or whether it can be postponed before deciding whether or not to proceed with the call.

“By integrating Microsoft Azure AI Speech’s personal voice capability into Truecaller, we’ve taken a significant step towards delivering a truly personalized and engaging communication experience,” Mimoun stated in a statement released today. However, it is possible that callers will have a sense of unease, and possibly even a sense of creepiness, when they communicate with a robotic version of their friend or colleague.

During this year’s Build event, Microsoft showcased the personal voice capabilities of Azure AI Speech. Additionally, the firm disclosed that Wondershare, a digital creativity company, is incorporating the new feature into its video editing tools. This will also make it possible for users of Wondershare to create an artificial intelligence assistant by utilizing their voice, which they can then use to create audiobooks and podcasts themselves.
