Games from Activision Blizzard will soon be added.
Ubisoft is in the process of redesigning its content subscription service for video games by introducing a premium multi-platform package and a more affordable tier for personal computers. In order to create Ubisoft+ Premium, the company is combining the Ubisoft+ Multi-Access and PC Access products. A new tier for personal computers is called Ubisoft+ Classics. According to Ubisoft, there will be no adjustments made automatically when it comes to existing PC Access users. Their plan will continue to be the same at the same prices as before.
You will be charged $18 per month for Ubisoft+ Premium, which is $1 higher than Game Pass Ultimate, for those of you who are interested in the facts. Access to the premium editions of Ubisoft games, as well as all expansions and monthly prizes, are included in this package. More importantly, you will be able to play new games released by Ubisoft on the same day that they are released. Additionally, early access will be made available for certain games. For example, if you sign up right now, you will be able to play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown right away, even though Ubisoft has not yet officially released the game until January 18th.
A Ubisoft+ Premium subscription is compatible with Xbox, PC, and Amazon Luna, which is an additional significant benefit. For example, you could play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on your personal computer while you are at work (we won’t tell your employer about it), pick up where you left off on your Xbox after dinner, and then wind down for the day by soaring about on the back of an ikran on your phone while you are in bed.
In addition to the reorganization of Ubisoft+ Premium, the company has introduced Ubisoft+ Classics for personal computers. Access to a library of “popular back-catalog and live games” is included in this package, which costs $8 per month. Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs: Legion are some of the titles that are now accessible. It is important to note that subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium have access to the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog at no additional cost.
According to Philippe Tremblay, who is in charge of subscriptions at Ubisoft, the subscription service Ubisoft+ has exceeded the expectations of the publisher in terms of their membership numbers. “We’ve seen millions of players since launch, and they’ve enjoyed over 600 million hours of play,” Tremblay said in a post on the Ubisoft site shortly after the game’s release. In addition, Tremblay stated that the firm made the decision to launch Ubisoft+ Classics because “we think it’s a strong offer at the price point, and the catalog will only grow as we keep adding games to it as time goes on, so players can discover even more of our worlds.”
The pricing of the different services may be off-putting for some people; nevertheless, it is important to keep in mind that Microsoft sold the cloud gaming rights for Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft in an effort to placate regulators, and it was successful in doing so. During the month of August, Ubisoft said that the arrangement would eventually allow its users to watch games developed by Activision Blizzard. A timetable for the addition of those games to Ubisoft’s service has not yet been disclosed by the company. “We’re working on the offering right now to make sure it’s the best possible experience for our subscribers, and we’ll have more to share later,” according to Tremblay.
