Sorting options include All, Groups, and Unread.
Through the implementation of Chat Filters, WhatsApp is making it just a little bit simpler to locate particular chats. You will be able to arrange messages according to All (which is the existing setting), Groups, or Unread with the upcoming version. With the exception of Unread, which displays any messages that have not yet been read, and Groups, which displays only your group chats, they are all very self-explanatory. Moreover, Groups will display any subgroups that are associated with Communities.
It is already possible to use the search box on WhatsApp to locate a specific discussion; therefore, if you are already aware of the person you are looking for, this update is not going to bring about significant changes for you. Because it can be difficult to remember who you still owe a message to, this function will most likely be the most helpful for identifying the chats that you have not yet responded to. Messages that you have not yet opened and those that you have marked as “unread” to return to at a later time will be displayed via the Unread filter.
Because the new sort choices will be displayed at the top of your messages, you will be able to move between them quickly and easily without having to go into the settings first. The filtering feature has been implemented by WhatsApp, and the company believes that it will be accessible to all users over the next few weeks.
