There are members of the ensemble cast such as Michael Cimino and Ella Rubin.
The cast of the planned film adaptation of the interactive horror game Until Dawn has been revealed by PlayStation Productions and Screen Gems; the game was developed by PlayStation. The ensemble will reportedly consist of Ella Rubin, who co-stars with Anne Hathaway in the Amazon Prime original series The Idea of You, and Michael Cimino, who plays Victor Salazar in the Hulu original series Love, Victor. That information comes from Deadline. Ji-young Yoo, who is known for her role in Expats, and Odessa A’zion, who is known for her role in Sitting in Bars with Cake, have both agreed to play roles in the game. The game centers on eight young adults who are attempting to survive the night at a remote mountain resort while being pursued by a murderer.
In order to offer motion capture and voice acting for the game’s characters, Supermassive Games recruited a number of well-known performers, such as Rami Malek and Hayden Panettiere, among others. Considering that they are no longer of the appropriate age to portray the roles that they were originally cast in, it should not come as a surprise that they are not participating in the project. Nevertheless, the filmmakers are dealing with a one-of-a-kind circumstance since the faces of renowned people are connected to the roles that other people will now play. This is because the players in question are not completely unknown motion capture actors.
“At PlayStation Productions, we are always looking to find creative and authentic ways to adapt our beloved games that our fans will enjoy,” Asad Qizilbash, the head of Sony’s production company, said in an interview with Deadline. “Alongside Screen Gems, we’ve assembled a fantastic cast of new characters that builds upon our already stellar filmmaking team and their vision for the adaptation.”
The game itself is going to be remade for both the PlayStation 5 and the personal computer. The original game will be enhanced with a third-person camera option, new settings, and new interactions thanks to the fact that it was developed using Unreal Engine 5 for the more recent console. Over the course of this fall, the remake of Until Dawn will be released.
