The iPad version is “near completion,” according to developer Riley Testut, and will be available with Delta’s upcoming major update.
The well-known Nintendo emulator known as Delta, which was released on the App Store for the iPhone a few weeks ago to a great deal of excitement, is now getting a version that is optimized for utilization on the iPad. During the weekend, developer Riley Testut provided an update on Threads, in which he disclosed that an iPad application has been in the process of being developed and is now being prioritized as a result of Apple’s latest decision about game emulators. Testut’s Patreon subscribers may now download the iPad app through the AltStore, which is an alternative marketplace that the developer established a few years ago for the purpose of sideloading iOS and iPadOS applications. The iPad app is “near completion,” and it is currently available for download. If that is not the case, you will have to wait a little bit for it to be included in Delta’s next major update, which is version 1.6.
In addition, Testut provided a sneak peek at how the application will function on the iPad in the post. Delta is the successor to Testut’s Game Boy Advance emulator, GBA4iOS. It supports a wide variety of other Nintendo systems, such as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Nintendo 64, and Nintendo DS. The iPad version should be ready in a relatively short amount of time, according to Testut, who stated that the team only needs to “finish up controller skins [and]fix some last bugs.” According to what Testut wrote, they are also working on device-to-device multiplayer, although this is still a couple of things down on the checklist and needs to be completed. Furthermore, as an additional treat, he mentioned that a SEGA Genesis emulator is also in the works. However, it will be ready “soonish.” This is still in the beta testing phase.
