The minimum price for a Model 3 that is not subsidized has been increased to $42,500.

The Model 3 Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive, which was Tesla’s most affordable vehicle, is no longer included in the online configurator. This means that it is no longer available for purchase. The publication Electrek was the first to report on the lack of that Model 3 build. A price tag of $39,000 was attached to it, making it the most affordable option available from the electric vehicle brand. With a selling price of $42,500, the Model 3 Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive has now taken over as the model with the highest price. A new version of Tesla’s Model 3 was introduced to the public in the United States in January.

A total of 462,890 automobiles were delivered by the corporation between the months of July and September, according to the data that were released today for the third quarter. Prices were lowered and other incentives were offered during the quarter, which contributed to an increase in sales that was sufficient to reach a 6.4 percent increase from the deliveries made the previous year. However, the number did not meet the expectations of the analysts, who anticipated that there would be more than 469,000 deliveries over the period. Additionally, the quarterly result may make it more difficult for CEO Elon Musk to achieve his forecasts that the company will hand over more than 1.8 million vehicles in the entire year of 2023.

In addition, Tesla has been having a difficult time with recalls this year. The vast majority of these problems were resolved through the use of over-the-air upgrades; but, the breadth and quantity of the problems may possibly be causing customers to have reservations. The number of vehicles that were recalled in January was 200,000, in February it was 2 million, in May it was 125,000, in June it was 12,000, in July it was 1.8 million, and in August it was more than 9,000.
