Spotify Premium subscription prices are rising again – technology

The monthly cost of the Family plan will increase to $20, up from $17.

As a result of reports that surfaced in April, Spotify has decided to officially increase the prices of its Premium subscriptions in the United States beginning in July. The Individual plan on the platform will see an increase from $11 to $12 per month, and the Duo plan will see an increase from $15 to $17 per month. This represents the same increase in price as the $1 and $2 price increases last year, respectively. The Family plan, on the other hand, will see a staggering $3 increase, moving from $17 dollars to $20 dollars per month. Students are the only subscribers who will receive a discount due to the fact that they will continue to pay $6 per month.

A little over a year after the last time it raised its prices, Spotify announced the new ones in July of this year. Prior to that, Spotify had not increased its subscription fees since it first began operations a decade and a half ago. I suppose it was overly ambitious to anticipate that the subsequent growth would likewise take that long, especially considering Spotify’s persistent emphasis (and money pour) on audiobooks.

According to Spotify, premium users should receive an email from the company within the next month informing them of the price increase and providing a link to terminate their account if they would like to do so. After the trial time for Spotify comes to an end, users will be able to continue using the service for an additional month at a cost of $11 before being charged $12 per month.
