The much-discussed wearable, which uses artificial intelligence to filter environmental cues, is priced at $699.
The company had previously provided a “early 2024” estimate for the screen-less wearable device intended to replace a smartphone. On Friday, the company posted on X (Twitter) stating that “those who placed priority orders will receive their Ai Pins first when we begin shipping in March.” The Humane AI Pin is anticipated to begin shipping in March.
Founded by two former Apple employees, Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, Humane believes that the smartphone, which is still their former employer’s mainstay, is nearing its end. Chaudhri told TechCrunch that in a press briefing in November, “the last era has plateaued,” and he sees the AI-powered wearable product as “a new way of thinking, a new sense of opportunity.”
We are thrilled to announce that Ai Pin will start shipping in March 2024.

All of us here at Humane can’t wait for you to experience your Ai Pin, the world’s first wearable computer powered by Ai. We’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and support, especially from our… pic.twitter.com/kTe4d3Jee7
The creators tout the device’s privacy focus and contextual intelligence, promising it “quickly understands what you need, connecting you to the right AI experience or service instantly.” Partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft, and Tidal provide what the company calls “access to some of the world’s most powerful AI models and platforms.” The $699 Humane AI Pin lacks a screen in favor of voice cues and a projector that projects pertinent information onto the user’s hand.
Buyers must pay $24 per month to access the pin’s cellular data, as it is designed as an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) on top of T-Mobile’s network. The pin ships in three color options, two of which add an additional $100 to its price. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor with a dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine that powers its Cosmos OS software.
Xyzurl emailed Humane to inquire about when it anticipates shipping current orders; if the firm responds, we will update this piece. In addition to providing the March shipment date, Humane says the remaining orders will continue to flow out in the order they were received.
The Eclipse (matte black on black) and Equinox (polished chrome on black) colorways of the Humane AI Pin are available for pre-order now on Humane’s website, with the former costing $699 and the latter $799.
