The song is also available for users to sing and even play on an instrument.
According to a report by 9to5Google, YouTube Music for Android has finally released a tool that has been in the works for quite some time. This tool allows users to search for a song by humming it, in addition to singing the tune or performing the melody on an instrument. The testing phase of the program has been going on since the month of March.
In order to locate the waveform icon, you need to tap the magnifying glass icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen and then look for it next to the microphone icon. To begin humming or singing, tap the icon that represents the waveform. A results page that fills the entire screen should instantly display the cover art, the name of the song, the artist, the album, the release year, and any other pertinent information on the song. The Now Playing feature of the Pixel, which employs artificial intelligence to “match the sound to the original recording,” serves as the foundation for this program.
A server-side update known as version 7.02 of YouTube Music for Android includes the utility as part of the update. There does not appear to be any information regarding the availability of the iOS release; however, it is highly likely that it will be arriving in our direction in the not too distant future.
You don't need to be @KidCudi to use Hum to Search. Hum a song into your Google app, and we'll identify it for you. Test it with your favorite songs, or use it to figure out the song that's been stuck in your head and find your new favorite. 🎶 pic.twitter.com/MluVNesTpE

Even though it is exclusive to YouTube Music, this kind of feature has been around for quite some time. In the year 2020, Google Search introduced a tool that was quite similar to this one, although the ordinary YouTube app didn’t start giving something comparable until the previous year. There is also a “hum to search” feature available on the online music streaming platform Deezer, which was distributed in the year 2022.
