A brand-new teaser serves as evidence.

On November 15, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be made available to players all across the world. Through the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store, the most recent recreation of the historical murder simulator will be available for play on a variety of platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. It will also be available for Apple hardware Mac computers right at launch, which is something of a novelty, and it will be available on cloud gaming services such as Amazon Luna and Ubisoft+.

In the event that the name does not sound familiar, the game was once known as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, and it has been in the process of being developed since at least the year 2022. The creator says that it will be “a very different type of Assassin’s Creed game.” The game takes place in Japan during the feudal era. The work on the project is being led by Ubisoft Quebec, and it is possible that it will be more similar to the massive Assassin’s Creed Odyssey than it will be to the more streamlined Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Given that the trailer is mostly comprised of cinematic content, it is difficult to identify any significant modifications to the gameplay. Despite this, the vibes appear to be really fantastic. In addition, Japan in the sixteenth century is an absolutely fantastic location. We can only hope that Ubisoft gets it right. The game allows players to take control of two different characters: a samurai and a shinobi assassin. The assassin Naoe favors subtlety, while the samurai Yasuke prefers brute force. Both of these characters have their own distinct and individual play styles.

Ubisoft+ subscribers will also be able to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows on November 12, which is a little bit earlier than the general public. Various editions, as is customary, will be made available for purchase. The price of the regular version is $70, which has in some way become the new standard price for AAA games of this genre. A season pass for downloadable content (DLC), a bonus mission, and early access to the game on November 12 are all included in the Gold Edition, which costs $110 and provides gamers with the same benefits as Ubisoft+ subscribers.

Additionally, a red and black photo filter as well as various character skins are included in the Ultimate Edition, which costs $130 and includes everything that was just discussed. A SteelBook case, a paper world map, miniatures of the key characters, a large art book, two lithographs, and other cool physical trinkets are included in the Collector’s Edition, which has a staggering price tag of $280. Additionally, the Collector’s Edition includes a number of other cool physical items. Another trailer, this one centered on gameplay, is scheduled to be released by Ubisoft in June.
