As in October, the price of Tier 1 subscriptions and gift subscriptions will be $8.

Twitch is currently revising the prices of its subscriptions for mobile transactions. Prices for Tier 1 subscriptions and gift subscriptions made using the mobile app of the company will increase to $8 beginning October 1st, in comparison to the present rate of $6 per month. The prices of Tier 2 and Tier 3 will not be affected in any way.

📱 Starting October 1, we’re increasing new Tier 1 sub and gift sub prices on the mobile app in over 40 countries.

📬 We are notifying streamers and subscribers in these countries via email.

This summer, the firm made the announcement that the Tier 1 fee for subscribing to a channel on desktop will be increasing by one dollar in the United States, going from $5 to $6. The first time that Twitch sub costs had increased for viewers in the United States was in July, when this adjustment was initially implemented. This decision came after similar increases were implemented earlier this year for Tier 1 subscriptions in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Turkey.

There is a strong possibility that the larger increase in mobile subscription charges is a reaction to the fees that both of the major technology companies charge for in-app purchases. The corporations have been subjected to a number of antitrust lawsuits as a result of this topic, and as a result, they have decreased their commission % for a number of different use cases. As a direct result of the Digital Markets Act, both Apple and Google have implemented new fee arrangements in the European market.
