Since nearly nine years ago, this is the first new Mario and Luigi game to be released.

A surprising announcement was made by Nintendo at the beginning of its most recent Direct display. The Mario and Luigi role-playing game series has been brought back to life by the launch of the first new installment in nearly nine years. The new game is going to be named Mario and Luigi: Brothership, and ever since I heard that title crop up, my heart has been on the verge of melting.

It is shown in the reveal trailer that Mario Mario and Luigi Mario are working together to explore islands, conquer hurdles, and eliminate opponents. “Evolved bros moves” will be available for them to perform in order to eliminate enemies, and much like in previous installments, it appears that you will have control of both brothers at the same time. Everything looks like it would be quite cute. On November 7th, Mario and Luigi: Brotherhood will be available for launch on the Nintendo Switch.

The most recent and completely original installment in the series was released in 2015 for the Nintendo 3DS and was titled Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. This game, like Paper Mario, was inspired by the original game. Despite the fact that Superstar Saga is accessible through Switch Online and Expansion Pack, Mario and Luigi: Brothership is the first game in the franchise to be developed specifically for the Nintendo Switch. Although it is not entirely apparent which studio is responsible for the development of the most recent game, Nintendo has been unusually discreet about the specifics of its first-party games in recent times. However, AlphaDream, the original firm, ceased operations in 2019.
