You can play Sonic Mania now, but Braid will not be out for a few more days.
The video game Sonic Mania Plus has been added to the list of games that Netflix users may play on their mobile devices without having to pay for it or deal with advertisements. Back in December of 2023, the firm made the initial announcement that it was going to add the game to its roster, along with Game Dev Tycoon: Design and Development. As part of the celebrations commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Sonic franchise, fans who are well-known for their Sonic fangame creations and for their contributions to the ROM hacking community developed Sonic Mania Plus. Since the first version of the game was launched in 2017, it has been consistently ranked as one of the finest Sonic games of all time. The expansion pack for Sonic Mania, which was released in 2018, features supplementary content. In addition, Netflix has stated that the version that will be included in its library would have new bosses and levels.
In addition, the anniversary edition of Braid will be added to Netflix’s gaming portfolio on May 14th. The platformer Braid is a time-manipulation game in which players take control of a character named Tim. In order to locate and save a princess, the player must travel through a series of interconnected worlds and explore forgotten memories. The audio in the anniversary edition has been updated, new animation sequences have been added, the graphics have been completely redone, and there are additional riddles to solve. Additionally, there includes fifteen hours of audio commentary that discusses the production of the game.
The top-down puzzle adventure Paper Trail will be added to Netflix’s gaming library on May 21. Additionally, on May 29, a Stories game based on the series Virgin River will be added to the library. These two titles are in addition to the ones already mentioned. The 2019 platformer Katana Zero, which is set in a dystopian setting and features an assassin who wields a katana, will also find its way to Netflix games, but the company has not yet determined when it will be available to stream.
