Microsoft stated that it is “trying to identify the problem.”
In Europe, Bleeping Computer has reported that a number of Microsoft services, including Bing and Copilot, as well as the internet search engine ChatGPT and DuckDuckGo, are experiencing technical difficulties. DuckDuckGo simply writes, “There was an error displaying the search results.” Bing.com and Copilot both return blank pages with 429 errors, but DuckDuckGo simply states what happened. Please give it another shot.”
The following is a statement that was made by Microsoft on its @MSFT365Status X page: “We are currently investigating an issue that may prevent users from accessing the Microsoft Copilot service.” Currently, we are working to determine the root source of the problem. In the administrative center, under the heading CP795190, you will find additional information. Also confirming the problem, OpenAI stated that it is conducting an investigation.
As a result of the fact that DuckDuckGo and ChatGPT internet search (which is accessible to Plus or business customers) are dependent on the Bing API, both of these websites are currently unavailable. It would appear that the power outage began at approximately three o’clock (ET) today, May 23.
When Teams fell down across North and South America in January, Microsoft was hit with yet another outage that caused the company substantial damage. In the same month, the business was also affected by a significant security breach, and a review board from the United States government referred to Microsoft’s security culture as “inadequate” and stated that it required a complete reform.
