Unfortunately, the stunning GPUs will only be offered in the priciest RTX 40 series Super GPU.
Nvidia made the announcement of the RTX 40-series Super GPUs at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year. The consequence of this was that all of Nvidia’s partners presented their own versions of the cards in order to demonstrate their most recent designs, which appeared to be almost identical to the ones that had been used previously. An entirely new Expert series was unveiled by MSI, which was the only company that stood out. In order to achieve a more modest and contemporary appearance, this design utilizes RGB and typical dual- or triple inline fans. Now, it has been disclosed that the Expert series will make its debut with the RTX 4080 Super cards that are on the horizon.
There has been a lot of interest in MSI’s Expert cards ever since the official announcement was made. This is because it is the first design from an Nvidia partner that imitates the attractive Founders Edition GPUs that the firm has released. Both the Nvidia and the Expert graphics processing units (GPUs) have a push-pull fan design, with each fan being situated on opposite ends of the card. Additionally, the RGB lighting on the GPUs is not present (at least that we can see). In spite of the fact that Nvidia’s cards are protected by a plastic sheath, MSI’s version is made of aluminum, which means that it ought to be incredibly rigid. Despite the fact that this is a 3D render from Guru3D, it looks that the only color option available is the champagne hue that can be seen above. However, it is likely that a black version will also be available at some point in the future.

The exact specifications of the MSI RTX 4080 Super Expert have been shared on Twitter, and as was to be expected, the graphics processing unit (GPU) has been overclocked. It is just sixty megahertz higher than the reference card, as stated by Videocardz; hence, in the real world, both graphics processing units (GPUs) would most likely have clock speeds that are comparable when gaming. Due to the fact that the card houses a dual BIOS, the boost clock can be utilized in both the Silent and Gaming modes. Users have the ability to boost the card’s speed by an additional 15MHz by installing MSI’s software, which may seem like a lot of work for a rather insignificant advantage.
In preparation for the formal introduction of the RTX 4080 Super cards by Nvidia on the following Wednesday, benchmarks will be available on Tuesday. It is not yet clear how simple it will be to purchase an Expert card, as it is possible that these graphics processing units are part of a limited edition. This is something that we believe to be true because MSI did not even include it on its 4080 Super page. The fact that it is priced far higher than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $999 leads us to believe that it is a rare item. In light of the fact that its performance will most likely be comparable to that of the more reasonably priced Founders Edition card, as well as MSI’s own “vanilla” RTX 4080 Super GPUs, this could significantly reduce its attractiveness.
