The game’s release window was shortened by Take-Two in their most recent earnings report.
It has been officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will be returning to Vice City in the fall of 2025. GTA 6’s previously announced 2025 window has been pushed back to the autumn of the following year, according to a report that was published by Take-Two Interactive on Thursday as part of its earnings report for the fourth quarter of 2024.
“Take-Two Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick noted in the earnings report that “Our expectation reflects a shortening of Rockstar Games’ previously established timeframe of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.” This was stated in reference to the delay of the release of the game. “We are extremely confident that Rockstar Games will provide an entertainment experience that is unparalleled, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase,” the statement read.
The sixth mainstream chapter in the open-world series will take place in Leonida, which is Rockstar’s equivalent of Florida, with the majority of the game’s attention being on Vice City, which is located in Miami. It seems as though the game takes place in the present day, in contrast to the delightful ’80s cheese that was included in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was released in 2002. When you watch the trailer that is provided below, you will be able to see the protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
