With your Android wristwatch, you can now quickly access boarding passes, event tickets, loyalty cards, and more.
With the release of Google Wallet passes, Google is finally providing Android smartwatch owners with a feature that they have been requesting for years. The statement that Google is formally introducing plane passes, event tickets, gym memberships, loyalty cards, and other passes that might be saved in your Google Wallet to Wear OS was one of the many other announcements that Google made today at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). In this particular area, Wear OS has fallen significantly behind the Apple Watch, which has been in the market for quite some time.
Although there have been occasional reports from users that they have seen the feature appear over the course of the past month or so, Google has just now confirmed that it has arrived. With the update, any passes that you have uploaded to Google Wallet will appear on your Wear OS watch in the form of a QR code or barcode. You will have the option to conceal any passes that you do not require at the present time. In addition, Google is introducing the capability to obtain precise instructions for public transport on your watch, which means that you will no longer need to pull out your phone in order to determine where you are heading. You will be able to check the times of departure through your wristwatch, and you will also be able to receive detailed directions or a guided map view to your location.
