While gaming seats are fantastic for keeping you comfortable while you indulge in one of America’s favorite past times, they don’t really do much to keep you dry. Since the majority of them are constructed of leather-like materials and one spends so much time in them, it is only natural for one to start to get a little moist. With its newest gaming chair, which is equally concerned with comfort and cooling, Cougar hopes to change that.
It claims that the massive 200mm RGB fan in the backrest of the company’s new NXSYS AERO gaming chair would help you stay cool “even at your greatest energy levels,” which is an interesting claim considering that we’re talking about sitting. When the air from the fan is cycled across the backrest and washes over your backside mid-frag session, Cougar claims that the fan’s position in the middle of the back allows it to chill your entire body.
Although it will be behind you while you game, we’re not sure why it even bothered to include RGB lighting, but at least it will look sharp when you’re not playing. The chair has a concealed chamber in the back where you may hide a battery pack, albeit one is not included. The fan is battery-powered. You must set the fan’s color and rotating speed controls before you sit down because they are hidden behind you once you are seated. They are located in the right-rear of the backrest.
The chair also has various ergonomic characteristics in addition to the large fan at the back. To support your head and neck, you can attach a magnetic headrest to the top of the chair. You may shift it around to find the ideal location thanks to its magnetic construction. A lumbar pillow of “physiotherapy-grade” is also included into the backrest to assist your lower back.
That’s a lot of characteristics for a chair’s backrest, but Cougar also gave consideration to the area where your butt rests. It has a “bucket style” seat with slanted flanks that, according to the manufacturer, allow for a “wider” cargo. The seat is upholstered in what is referred to as “supple” breathable PVC leather.
If you want to rock back and forth within a small range, you can tighten the swiveling rocker on the chair, which also enables swiveling from 90 to 150 degrees and features height adjustment for the seat and arm rests. According to TechPowerUp, the chair is available in black/black or orange/black and will cost $399 in the US.
