Members of PC Game Pass can also get the sequel for free.

This week, the second installment in EA’s Star Wars Jedi series will be available for purchase on EA Play, through PC Game Pass, and through Game Pass Ultimate. On April 25, almost exactly one year to the day after the game’s first release, subscribers will be able to continue the journey of Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In the event that you have not yet experienced the initial stages of Cal’s journey, it is highly recommended that you begin with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which is also accessible through those services.

Cal is still engaged in his conflict with the Empire five years after the events of the previous game, and Jedi: Survivor continues up where the previous game left off. You can choose from five different lightsaber postures in this installment, and the maps are significantly larger than they were in the previous installment, Jedi: Fallen Order (at least the sequel also offers quick travel). Despite the fact that Jedi: Survivor received positive reviews in general, the PC version of the game had notoriously terrible performance right out of the gate. This is a problem that the developer, Respawn Entertainment, has attempted to fix through the use of patches.

The development of a third game is now underway, although the person in charge of the game will be different. Stig Asmussen, who had directed the first two installments, departed Electronic Arts in order to establish his own firm.
