All of Instagram’s most active social media users will benefit from the new upgrade, which filters messages from a variety of sources.

It is possible that one of the most aggravating issues that creators face could be resolved by a new update that was released earlier today for Instagram. The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, recently announced a new filtering upgrade that will be available on Instagram for the inboxes of creators.

In a manner analogous to that of Gmail’s labels, Instagram users who have an account that is designated for creators now have the ability to filter message requests in their inbox based on the sender of the message. Creators are still able to organize their messages according to the “number of followers” and the “most recent” messages they have received, but they now have the ability to filter out specific communications. In addition to “verified accounts,” “businesses,” “creators,” and “subscribers,” the new filters also contain requests and messages from these groups.

Another feature that has been included to the update is the ability to organize all of your Instagram story replies. It is also possible to sift and filter your story answers if you go to the top of your inbox. This is “in case you just want to get to these requests really quickly and easily,” explains Mosseri.

“Now there is a lot more to do to improve the inbox for creators and requests, but hopefully this is one step in the right direction,” Mosseri says in his video. “I pray that this is the first step in the right direction.” Additionally, he mentioned that this function was one that a great number of creators were requesting, so it is hoped that Instagram will be adding additional inbox capabilities in the not too distant future in order to make that section of the app a little bit more organized.

For a considerable amount of time now, Instagram has been experimenting with various ways to improve its platform in order to accommodate people with greater profiles and producers. 2018 marked the beginning of the company’s testing of its creator account concept, which let celebrities and other well-known social media stars to filter their direct messages and monitor the statistics of their followers.
