This is in spite of the fact that the corporation has partnered with OpenAI.

GPT-4o, the huge language model that drives ChatGPT, is being integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and MacOS Sequioa by Apple as a result of a cooperation with OpenAI that was revealed on Monday at WWDC, the annual developer conference held by the company. However, shortly after the conclusion of the speech, Craig Federighi, the senior vice president of software engineering at Apple, stated that the business may also incorporate Gemini, which is Google’s family of huge language models, into its operating systems.

In a chat with reporters that took place after the keynote, Federighi stated, “We want to enable users ultimately to choose the models they want, possibly Google Gemini in the future.” “There is nothing to announce at this time.”

Furthermore, despite the fact that Apple did announce ambitions to incorporate additional AI models into its operating system at the keynote, the company did not directly reference Gemini. This is why the report is noteworthy. Apple devices would offer a level of personalization that none of its competitors, such as Google or Samsung, have. This would be accomplished by allowing users to select the artificial intelligence model that they wish to use on their devices rather than merely imposing one on them.
