The corporation abandoned its plans to pursue electric vehicles and is now allegedly concentrating on robotics.

Despite the fact that it has abandoned its aspirations to produce an electric vehicle of its own, Apple is still looking for the next innovative product that will assist it in maintaining its leading position in the market and will serve as new sources of revenue. Personal robots is reportedly one of the areas that the corporation is investigating, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. According to reports, it began investigating robots and electric vehicles at the same time, with the objective of creating a machine that does not require the involvement of a human operator.

Bloomberg said that Apple has already begun working on a mobile robot that can follow customers around their home and had already built a table-top device that employs a robot to move a screen around. This is despite the fact that Apple’s robotics projects are still in the very early stages of development. With the latter, the goal is to create a system that can imitate head motions and can lock on to a single individual within a group, presumably for the purpose of providing a more satisfying experience when participating in a video conference. In light of the fact that these robots are intended to be capable of moving around on their own, the company is also investigating the possibility of employing algorithms for navigation. According to the article, the individuals responsible for their development are members of Apple’s home devices group, and at least one engineer who worked on the company’s abandoned electric vehicle program has joined the team.

On the other hand, robots are not comparable to phones in the sense that people who live in this day and age require them in their life. It would appear that Apple is concerned about whether or not consumers would be willing to pay “top dollar” for the robots that it has in mind, and officials are still unable to come to a consensus regarding whether or not the business should continue working on these projects. According to a previous claim by Gurman, Apple may have sold its electric vehicle (EV) for a price of $100,000. If this is accurate, the EV had a greater potential to increase the company’s revenue. However, the Apple Car is no longer a viable option, and it has been rumored that the business is concentrating all of its efforts on the Vision Pro and new goods for the house. These products include a home hub device that has a display that is similar to that of an iPad. It is possible that Apple will abandon these projects in the future, and it may also look into other categories of items to invest in if it finds out that these other categories have the potential to bring in more money in the future.
