Direct purchases of a Series 9 or Ultra 2 can be made via the business website.

Both the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 are now available for purchase directly from the manufacturer. Due to the fact that a federal appeals court in Washington, District of Columbia, granted a temporary delay on an import and sales ban, we were aware that this was going to happen yesterday. A decision regarding whether or not to grant Apple a lengthier delay is expected to be made by the International Trade Commission (ITC) on January 10, which might result in the ban being reintroduced.

There is also the possibility that it will return on January 13, which is the date that the same agency will make a decision regarding Apple’s makeover of both versions of the smartwatch. When everything was said and done, the embargo lasted for a little more than a day and actually only affected customers who purchased products directly from Apple. This is because the gadgets were easily accessible via third-party vendors.

“We are pleased that the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has made the decision to stay the exclusion order while it considers our request to stay the order pending our full appeal,” Apple stated in a statement to Engadget. At the core of the matter is a complaint that was filed by Masimo, a firm that specialises in medical technology. The claim asserts that the blood oxygen sensors that are utilised in more recent Apple Watch devices are in violation of two patents. Additionally, the company accused Apple of stealing trade secrets and stealing staff from other companies.

An agreement was reached between the ITC and Masimo, which resulted in Apple rushing to provide a software repair. On the other hand, it was determined that this was a hardware problem that was associated with the actual sensor, which forced Apple to go back to the design board. By January 13, it is anticipated that it will unveil a blood oxygen sensor that has been redesigned. Due to the fact that it does not contain a blood oxygen sensor, the Apple Watch SE, which is more affordable, was never brought up in this conversation.

The company has maintained for a long time that the restriction would result in “irreparable harm” to the business. As a result of this, the Watch division of Apple’s business makes approximately seventeen billion dollars annually, as described by Bloomberg. For as long as this case continues to develop, we will keep you updated. Take advantage of the opportunity to purchase the highly regarded Apple Watch Series 9 while it is still available.
