The company unveiled its newest laptop models at Las Vegas’ CES 2024.
The latest laptops from Acer’s Aspire and Swift product lines were introduced to the public at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas. While each of the new devices comes with its own set of capabilities, the majority of them share a few characteristics in common, including the following: They come equipped with specific keys that can call upon Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant, and they are powered by Intel’s new Core Ultra processors, which are the company’s first chips to contain neural processing units that can speed up artificial intelligence activities.
The Acer Aspire Vero, which is one of the versions that is now powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, is partially manufactured from recycled materials, such as plastic that was destined for the ocean, and it has a screen that is 16 inches in size and has a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600. There are two USB-C connections, it is compatible with Wi-Fi 7, and it has a battery life of up to 10.5 hours on a single charge. This laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 11, which includes Copilot, which can be accessed in a short amount of time by using the key that is devoted to the individual device. In April, the model will be made accessible in North America, with pricing beginning at $750, and by March, it will be available in Europe, with costs beginning at at least €1,199.
On the other hand, the new Acer Aspire Go 15 and Aspire Go 14 come equipped with CPUs from the Intel Core i3 N-Series. However, the latter can be outfitted with chips from the AMD Ryzen 7000 Series instead. Despite the fact that the smaller model has a WUXGA display and the larger one has an FHD screen, both of them have the new dedicated Copilot keys and are connected to Wi-Fi 6. Beginning in February, both the 15-inch and the 14-inch laptops will be available for purchase, with pricing beginning at $250.
Additionally, Acer has announced that it has revamped its Swift laptop range, beginning with the new Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 models. These new models are powered by Intel Core Ultra CPUs and Intel Arc built-in graphics processing units. These computers are referred to as “AI PCs” by Acer. They come equipped with specialized Copilot keys and AI-enhanced video conferencing functions, such as automatic framing and background blurring. On the other hand, the Swift Go, which measures 14 inches, features a 2.8K OLED screen, while the 16-inch variant has a 3.2K OLED display. The LPDDR5X memory can be up to 32GB in capacity, and solid-state drives (SSDs) can be up to 2TB in size. Both of them can be opened up to 180 degrees. There will be a price tag of $750 or more for purchasers of the models when they are released in North America in the month of March.
At long last, the Acer Swift X 14 has been updated to include a dedicated Copilot key, as well as CPUs from the Intel Core Ultra H-Series, graphics processing units (GPUs) from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series, a 2.8K OLED display, and more. Heavy tasks, such as rendering in three dimensions, editing videos, and live broadcasting of high quality, were meant to be accomplished with this model. It is comparable to the Swift Go laptops in that it supports memory of up to 32GB in size and includes technologies that enhance video conferencing with artificial intelligence. However, consumers will be need to make do with 1TB solid-state drives. Beginning in February, it will be available for purchase for a price of at least $1,400.
