A clear advertisement for a “loved franchise” comes next.
Microsoft has made the announcement formally regarding the next Xbox Games Showcase. The company announced in a blog post that the summer version will be available on Sunday, June 9, at 10 AM Pacific Time (PT) and 1 PM Eastern Time (ET).
There will be a mysterious “[REDACTED] Direct” that will take place after the event, which is probably not that much of a mystery. Reports have already indicated that the new chapter of the military shooter will be released this year, and the teaser logo appears to be something that was taken from the Call of Duty franchise. Microsoft advertises the direct event as “a special deep-dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise.” [Citation needed]
Adding insult to injury, The Verge has reported that it has been confirmed that the event would center on the long-running property that is owned and operated by Activision-Blizzard. It will be the first time that Microsoft has officially taken control of the Call of Duty creator, and this will be the first Xbox showcase.
Xbox is going to spend the full week (which coincides with Summer Game Fest) to pump up its lineup in order to attract more attention to its newly acquired portfolio. The company’s goal is to attract attention with its new portfolio. The firm added that the double-feature show that will take place on June 9 will also mark the beginning of a week’s worth of coverage here on Xbox Wire and The Official Xbox Podcast, which will include updates and in-depth analyses of a large number of games.
