Additionally, mobile devices will get it.

Niantic, the company that developed Pokémon Go, is going to offer an augmented reality skateboarding game to the Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. In order to develop Rodney Mullen’s SKATRIX, the company collaborated with Reality Crisis, which is another startup operating in the augmented reality game area. Mullen is a professional skateboarder who is credited with pioneering a number of legendary tricks, like as the ollie and the kickflip. For those who are not familiar with him, they can learn more about him here.

With the exception of Pokémon Go, which allows players to use a real skateboard to race around town and capture pocket monsters, this is the very first augmented reality skateboard game ever created. According to Niantic, the activity would entail players maneuvering themselves through the actual world in order to “explore and collect skatepark elements.” In order to “turn the world into an endless skatepark,” the game will incorporate the same augmented reality precise aspects that are used in the company’s other products. A demonstration of the gameplay displays an avatar skating in real-world environments such as parking lots and inside of washing machines by way of example. Nevertheless, there is one particular elephant in the room that is really costly.

In addition to being expensive at $3,500, the Apple Vision Pro is not exactly a device that can be removed from the living room, let alone the home. While you are out and about, you will also look quite ridiculous if you wear Apple’s huge ski goggles. Not to mention the fact that it would be very simple to remove it off your head and run away, possibly on a skateboard.

In order to accomplish this, Niantic and Reality Labs are also working to bring the game to ordinary mobile devices, such as smartphones running iOS and Android. Niantic has promised that players would be able to share custom-made skateparks with other users on mobile devices as well as mixed-reality headsets with other players. However, a significant portion of the gameplay is still being kept under wraps.

This year, Rodney Mullen’s SKATRIX will be made available to the public at some point. Regarding the Apple Vision Pro, it appears that the gadget will be receiving a wide variety of applications. In addition to the Zoom app, the headgear will come equipped with access to the entirety of Microsoft’s 365 productivity suite when it is released. According to Apple, there will be a total of 600 apps accessible for download when the release occurs tomorrow.
