A brand-new trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake was also shown by Sony.
There is a return of Silent Hill, and it appears sooner than you might have anticipated. Creating a completely new installment in the series that is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 was a collaborative effort between Sony and Konami. On top of that, Silent Hill: The Short Message is completely free to play, and you may start doing so right away.
The game brings the series to the most recent point in time. One of the things that we see is the main character, Anita, utilizing a smartphone. As a result of getting texts from her friend, she decides to investigate the apartment building that is falling apart. Nevertheless, this is not a typical structure. It won’t be long until Anita finds “bizarre, otherworldly spaces, haunted by a twisted monster.” There have been whispers that people have committed suicide there, and it won’t all be for long.
The first of numerous new Silent Hill games that are currently in development, this is the first on the list. On the PlayStation Blog, producer Motoi Okamoto stated that The Short Message was initially conceived as an exploratory project with the purpose of providing fresher developers who are fans of the Silent Hill brand with the opportunity to gain some hands-on experience with the franchise. Moreover, the group was interested in investigating the potential role that social media could play in a psychological horror game. The decision was made by Konami and Sony to make it available for free in order to assist newbies to the franchise in gaining an understanding of what it is all about (hint: scary stuff).
While everything was going on, Sony and Konami also provided a new look at the Silent Hill 2 remake that Bloober Team is currently working on. Unfortunately, there is not yet a timetable for the completion of the project at this point in time.
