The integration is being implemented all across the world.
As the use of short-form videos becomes increasingly widespread in today’s society, it is not uncommon to find new songs and musicians through the use of applications such as TikTok and Instagram. Now, Instagram has begun pushing out an interface with Spotify, which will allow you to add songs that you hear from posts and Reels directly to the audio streaming app, as reported by 9to5Mac. In the event that an Instagram post incorporates a song and the song is linked at the bottom of the screen, you can access the audio preview page for the song by tapping on the song’s name. A new button that says “Add” and has the Spotify logo on it can be found immediately next to the audio scrubber in that location.
The song will be added to the “Liked Songs” section of your Spotify library as soon as you touch the Add button. Once you have done it for the first time, you will be required to link your Spotify account with your Instagram account; but, after that, the process will only require one tap. From this point forward, the feature will be accessible to all users all around the world. In August, mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered a different kind of connectivity between the two apps that were still in the process of being developed. Users of Instagram would be able to continuously broadcast what they are listening to on Spotify through the usage of this function, which would appear as notes on top of your profile image.
For the past year, TikTok has provided users with the capability to add songs that they have heard from videos to their music streaming library. Not only does its version of the feature work with Spotify, but it also includes compatibility with Apple Music and Amazon Music.
