A defective windshield wiper and trim are the source of the problem this time.

The Cybertruck manufactured by Tesla is being recalled for a second time, as reported by The Verge. There is a possibility that roughly 12,000 owners of the contentious vehicle would be affected by the physical recall that the business has issued.

Listed below is the breakdown of it. 11,688 Cybertrucks are being recalled by the firm because of a defective windshield wiper that has the potential to drastically limit visibility when the vehicle is in motion. Additionally, it is recalling 11,383 electric pickup trucks due to trim in the bed that has the potential to become loose and provide a risk for other drivers and passengers on the road. According to Quartz, Tesla has stated that it is “not aware of any injuries or deaths” connected to any of the two issues.

According to the notice filed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regarding the wiper, Tesla will repair the wiper motor once the owner takes it in for service. Considering the possibility of the trim becoming loose, the company will either use adhesive promoter and pressure sensitive tape or replace the missing applique, depending on the circumstances. There will be no cost associated with either of these changes.

After another large recall that occurred earlier this year, this one has followed. One of the issues involved a malfunctioning accelerator pedal that had the potential to become stuck while being used. The problem with the accelerator pedal affected close to four thousand automobiles.

In spite of the fact that it is difficult to determine what proportion of sales these recalls affect, it is possible that it affects almost all of them. During the accelerator pedal scandal that occurred in April, Tesla disclosed that it had produced and sold a total of 3,878 components up to that point. Despite the fact that the firm has not disclosed any updated sales data, the most recent recalls of vehicles involve approximately 12,000 vehicles. By the end of April, how many more could it have possibly sold? One possible explanation is that individuals are stealing them solely for the purpose of spray painting anti-Elon graffiti.

Since it was first introduced, the Cybertruck has been beset with problems, the most of which have not reached the point where they require a recall. Consumers have voiced their dissatisfaction with a variety of frustrating issues, including a general lack of visibility, difficulties in off-road conditions, expensive repairs, an inability to drive on snow, bad mileage, and a variety of other issues. Also, the starting price is close to $82,000.
