It has been reported by a few owners that the windshield wiper stopped working shortly after they had picked up their vehicle.
Customers who purchased Cybertrucks and were supposed to receive their new trucks this week have been informed that they will have to wait a little bit longer than expected since the company is addressing a safety problem with the motor that controls the windshield wipers. Tesla has not officially verified any such difficulties or issued an official recall; nonetheless, multiple commenters on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum and Reddit have stated that they were informed that deliveries have been halted and that their pickup dates have been put back by one week.
This comes as a result of reports from owners of Cybertrucks who have stated that the windshield wiper failed on them, in some instances nearly immediately after the truck was picked up. Tesla had to temporarily halt the delivery of Cybertrucks in the spring of this year because the company had issued a recall due to defective accelerator pedals that had the potential to become stuck. There were approximately 3,878 Cybertruck vehicles that were problematic. The problem was rather easy to remedy in this instance (it consisted of fixing a rivet), and deliveries resumed not long after that.
