‘Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color’ will also be available on Netflix later this summer. The film is in black and white.

There is now a streaming version of Godzilla Minus One available on Netflix, and the black-and-white version will be released in the near future. The surprise release was revealed by the streaming service today, which coincided with the launch of the film for digital purchase and rental on video-on-demand platforms such as Apple TV and Prime Video. These platforms provide both the color and “Minus Color” versions of the film. Both subtitled and dubbed versions of Godzilla Minus One are available for streaming on Netflix.

For those individuals who were unable to watch the black-and-white Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color film when it was released in theaters for a short period of time earlier this year, the distributor Toho International has announced that it will be available on Netflix starting later this summer. The plans that everyone else has for a Godzilla marathon during the summer just got even more exciting.

When Godzilla Minus One was released in December 2023, it became one of those movies that had people going back to theaters to see it again — and again, after the Minus Color version was published. The story of Godzilla Minus One takes place in Japan after World War II, and it soon garnered a lot of devoted followers. It was ultimately awarded the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 2024 Academy Awards, in addition to receiving praise from the film’s critics.
