There may soon be a shift in the meaning of vaulting.
Despite the fact that the Fallout series on Prime Video has been well received by both critics and audiences, Microsoft and Bethesda were not prepared to fully capitalize on the success of the series. Although Fallout 4 skyrocketed to the top of the sales charts and Bethesda also updated it for consoles of the current generation, there was no new Fallout game that was ready to be released. In point of fact, the next installment of the Fallout series is not expected to be released for some years. In order for Bethesda to begin working on it in a proper manner, The Elder Scrolls 6 must first be completed.
Fortnite, on the other hand, is another gaming organization that is prepared to capitalize on the spike in popularity that Fallout has experienced. Before the launch of the next Fortnite season, which will be titled “Wrecked” and will take place on May 24th, the X account for the battle royale game hinted to the possibility of a crossover. An illustration of the power armor worn by the Brotherhood of Steel was shared by Epic.
Fortnite has already began preparing for a possible post-apocalyptic version of the island, and a sandstorm appears to be on its way. It is too early to know exactly what the Fallout crossover would involve, but Fortnite has already begun setting the stage for it. You could be able to employ weapons that are based on Fallout, such as miniature nuclear weapons.
This is only the most recent example of how Epic is able to tap into the zeitgeist more effectively than virtually any other publisher or studio. In the meantime, vaulting, which is the term Epic uses to describe the process of removing stuff from Fortnite, might be set to take on a completely new meaning if fallout shelters begin to appear on the island.
